Pelican Beach is also known as Sunset Beach, making it a natural destination for an evening Seabrook ride. The beach sits along the side of the island influenced by the Edisto River and is known for softer waves and sunset views.
Start Before Sunset
Give yourself enough daylight to reach the beach comfortably, secure the bikes, and walk through the designated beach access.
Seabrook requires bikes ridden after dusk to have lights, so plan accordingly if your return ride will happen after sunset.
Make It a Short Vacation Ride
A sunset ride does not need to become a full-island cycling trip. The goal is simply to have bicycles available so your family can leave the rental property and enjoy the island at a slower pace.
Don’t Ride the Boardwalk
Current Seabrook access rules specify that bicycles should not be ridden on boardwalks.
Follow posted signs, use designated access areas, and protect the dunes.
Reserve Bikes for the Stay
A 4–7 day rental lets you choose whichever evening has the best conditions rather than having to schedule your sunset ride far in advance.
